Starting with Synergy
- For best performance when starting the Spa Synergy System, drain, clean and refill your spa, it is also recommended to either use a new or freshly cleaned filter. Once the circulation system and water are up to temperature, it’s time to start adding the Spa Synergy System chemicals. You can take a water reading sample before you begin to a get a base analysis of pH, Total Alkalinity and Calcium Hardness in the water. However it's also recommended to test the water once the chemicals are in the spa to ensure the water equilibrium is in perfect balance.
- The Spa Synergy Initiator is the first product that you add when re-starting your hot tub, designed to ready your spa to produce crystal clear, silky smooth water to enrich the bathers comfort. Add 150g of the initiator by scattering the fine granular powder into the hot tub with circulation system running. Allow water to flow through the system for one hour after introduction of chemicals. Once the hour has elapsed and your water is at a minimal of 35C/95F you can add the Spa Synergy Clean.
- The Spa Synergy Clean pure enzyme formula contains biodegradable elements to control unwanted smells and scum caused by personal care products, oils, grease and other microorganisms. It also helps to keep filters clean, lowering maintenance and augmenting bathers experience. Shake the Clean bottle well before use as the product may contain sediment, some spas may encounter slight foaming after adding. Foaming can be controlled by anti-foaming products designed for hot tubs and spas if needed. Keep circulation system running continuously, and add 80ml per 1,000 litres of hot tub water. At this point you can add the Spa Synergy Clear.
- The Spa Synergy Clear is designed to replace several products you may already use is your spa, with a worry free pre-measured pouch. The claim to fame of this product's blended formula of clarifiers, oxidizers and water enriching buffers is to keep your hot tub water clean and clear, yielding exceptionally clear water. Introduce one pre-measured packet of Clear with the hot tub cover off and circulation/filtration system running and aeration system/blower system off for one hour after application. You may begin enjoying you backyard oasis 15 minutes after introduction of Spa Synergy Clear. One bag will care for up to a 1,500 litre spa.
- The Spa Synergy Tabs is the sanitizer included with the system, it is a stabilized chlorinating tablet. A chlorine sanitizer is the only type of sanitizer compatible with the Spa Synergy System. Use a floater or feeder device designed for spa use to feed tablets and maintain proper sanitizer levels.
Weekly Maintenance
Using the Spa Synergy System weekly care routine will help you to keep your hot tub safe, clean and healthy. It is a similar process as initial start up, however the amounts of some products introduced to the water is different.
-Add 30g per 1,000 litres of water of the Spa Synergy Initiator, to keep the water feeling silky and smooth.
-The Spa Clean is the same amount as the initial start up of 80ml per 1,000 litres and does require the water to be 35C/95F and the circulation system running for the enzymes to break down micro-partials dissolved in the water.
-You will also need to add one bag of the Clear product to shock the water and burn off the residue left from the micro-partials allowing the filtration system to remove them from your spa.
-Doing a weekly water test using a test strip to ensure the sanitizer, alkalinity, and pH is balanced in the water in an important part of water maintenance. When using the Synergy Tabs you want to maintain a free available Chlorine ratio at 3-5 ppm. With average weekly usage, you will approximately use 3 to 4 tabs per 1,000 litres of hot tub water. Though you may require more with hot weather, heavy spa use, and use of an aeration system to keep you sanitizer at appropriate levels. Less than average use or a low number of bathers may require less tablets to maintain 3-5ppm.
-When caring for your hot tub, water and filter maintenance is crucial to keeping your water crystal clear, healthy and ready for your enjoyment. Inspect your filters regularly, rinse them weekly and do a thorough clean about once a month to help prolong their life and effectiveness in your filtration system.
-It is recommended to completely drain and refill your spa every 3-4 months.
