The Jandy 3456 energy filter without a gauge is designed for use with your main pool pump or a booster or water feature pump running an automatic pool cleaner or other water features such as waterfalls or other water features that have a separate pump from your main filter system. This is an economical filter to remove debris from your pool water that can clog pressure side pool cleaners or water features that do not pass through your main filter system.

Good to know:
The Jandy filter kit can be plumbed into your main filtration system after the pump and before your main filter using a 3-way valve (not included). The 3-way valve will allow you to direct water to your pressure side pool cleaner, other water feature, swimming pool slide etc. The Energy Filter is installed after the 3-way valve on the plumbing line that would bypass your filter system. The Energy Filter and 3-way valve can be plumbed in 1-1/2″ or 2″ pipe. 1-1/2″ pipe fits into the energy filter and valve ports. 2″ pipe is joined using a 2″ pipe coupler, a 45 degree fitting or a 90 degree fitting.
