Mineraluxe Calcium Plus is a highly refined, calcium-rich mineral designed to raise hardness levels in hot tub water. A clean, white prill, this product is used when calcium levels are low to raise them. Hot tub water hardness between 100-200 ppm prevents premature deterioration of hot tub surfaces, including synthetics and vinyl and unnecessary corrosion of the heater and metal surfaces. Calcium Hardness also plays a vital role in ensuring the overall mineral balance is correct, enhancing comfort, chemical efficiency and cost of maintenance.
When to use & how much:
- Test hot tub or swim spa water on fresh fill and monthly thereafter
- Apply as needed to maintain water hardness level between 100 - 200ppm
- To raise the water hardness level:
- Add 10 grams per 1,000 L to raise hardness level by 10 ppm
- 1 capful = 10 grams (approx.)
How to use:
- Always adjust calcium hardness after alkalinity and pH
- Run pumps with air controls turned off
- Divide total amount of Mineraluxe Calcium Plus into 3 equal applications
- Apply 1 application every 3 hours by sprinkling slowly over water surface – do not attempt to predissolve
- Circulate for 1 – 2 hours
- Re-test to confirm proper hardness level next day
