Important
A leak at the seam between the back plate and cover on the Sundance—Jacuzzi smart heater can indicate that the gasket has deteriorated from either age or chemical corrosion. When you disassemble the heater, also inspect the element visually. Replacing the complete heater may be a better option if there are any rust-coloured stains on the coiled heating element. Rust-coloured stains on a hot tub heating element are signs of severe chemical corrosion, which typically indicates the element will fail shortly.
