Waterway PF-45-2N22 hot tub pump impeller and seal kit used in many Beachcomber spas. The parts in this kit only fit the 56 frame Waterway brand pumps that are labelled Massage Master XLT with the model number of PF-45-2N22C from 2010 onward. This kit will not fit the Waterway 4.5HP Executive 48 pump.
Kit includes:
- Seal kit, professional grade for ozone and saltwater applications
- Seal O-ring for 315-1260 volute
- Waterway Impeller for Waterway PF-45-2N22 pump (All current series Waterway impellers are black in colour)
- Seal install tool, this tool is to install the metal housing part of the seal into the pump volute straight without damaging the crimped edge of the seal housing
Important Product Notes:
- Seal O-Ring for 315-1260 Volute Required.
Waterway Executive 48 and 56 pumps from around mid 2017 and newer have an upgraded volute which has an o-ring around the seal cup in the volute. Wet ends that have the o-ring around the seal can be identified by the part number 315-1260 W/O on the back of the volute which is visible if looking at the back of the wet end. - Seal O-ring for 315-1220 Volute Not Required.
Waterway Executive 48 and 56 pumps from around mid 2017 and older have the standard volute which does not have and o-ring around the seal cup in the volute. Wet ends that do not have the o-ring around the seal can be identified by the part number 315-1220 on the back of the volute which is visible if looking at the back of the wet end. Do not use the o-ring on 315-1220 volutes as it will prevent the seal cup from seating properly and may cause damage. - Fits Waterway PF-45-2N22 pumps with first 7 digits of serial numbers starting from PF10277... and up, will not fit pumps with lower serial numbers. Pumps with lower serial numbers would need a complete replacement wet end as these parts may not fit.
Good to know:
In most cases when the pump seal is in need of replacing the impeller may be replaced as well because the sleeve may have cracked or will crack when the old impeller is removed. Also when looking to replace a leaking pump seal, if it has leaked for awhile and the pump shaft appears corroded inspect the shaft to ensure it's not corroded to badly or the new seal and impeller will not work or last very long.
