1. Manufacturer's Warranty Only
Most products sold by Pool and Hot Tub Depot are covered solely by the Original Equipment Manufacturer’s (OEM) limited warranty. Pool and Hot Tub Depot honors the terms, conditions, and limitations of the applicable OEM warranty. As a reseller, Pool and Hot Tub Depot does not provide any independent or additional warranties, express or implied, for any products.
2. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pool and Hot Tub Depot assumes no liability for, and shall not be held responsible for, any costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind, including direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, resulting from:
- Improper use or operation of the product;
- Installation errors or improper maintenance; or
- Product malfunctions or defects.
3. Scope of Retailer Responsibility
Pool and Hot Tub Depot’s role regarding any OEM warranty claim is strictly administrative and limited to facilitating the replacement of verified defective parts, subject to the manufacturer’s final approval and warranty terms.
Important Note: OEM limited warranties do not cover shipping, handling, or labor costs. The customer is solely responsible for all shipping fees associated with warranty claims and replacements.
4. Warranty Claim Process
All warranty claims require a Warranty Evaluation Authorization (WEA) prior to processing. To initiate a claim, please submit a formal warranty request using the "warranty service request" button below.
5. Warranty Procedure Options:
1a. Ship the defective part back to Pool and Hot Tub Depot with the WEA form.
- Upon receipt of the defective part and warranty coverage approval, a replacement part will leave the warehouse* within 2 business days for in-stock, non-special order parts.
- Customer is responsible for shipping costs of returning the defective part if the item was received more than 30 days ago
- Parts that are damaged, missing labels, serial numbers not legible, incorrectly wired, 115-volt parts hooked up to 240 volts, have cut cords-wires or cables do not qualify for warranty coverage.
2a. If desired, a replacement part can be purchased in advance
- Customer is responsible for shipping costs of returning the defective part if the item was received more than 30 days ago
- Upon return of the defective part and warranty coverage approval, the replacement part purchased will be refunded within 2 business days.
- Parts that are damaged, missing labels, serial numbers not legible on labels, incorrectly wired, 115-volt parts hooked up to 240 volts, have cut cords-wires or cables do not qualify for warranty coverage.
Warranty Inspection and Eligibility Policy
1. Evaluation and Verification
Upon receipt of the product at our facility, Pool and Hot Tub Depot (or the manufacturer) will inspect the item to determine warranty eligibility in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements. This evaluation will include verification of:
- The original date of sale;
- Product date codes and serial numbers; and
- Any evidence of physical damage, chemical damage, or unreasonable use.
2. Exclusions from Warranty Coverage
A product shall be deemed ineligible for warranty coverage if it exhibits any of the following conditions:
- Physical damage or alteration;
- Galvanic corrosion (including, but not limited to, damage caused by salt water systems);
- Missing, altered, or illegible serial numbers or part numbers;
- Evidence of use in applications outside of the product’s intended design or specifications; or
- Any missing original components.
3. Final Determination
The final, binding determination regarding a products warranty eligibility rests solely with the manufacturers coverage terms and conditions for the product or with Pool and Hot Tub Depot acting as the manufacturer’s authorized agent per the manufacturers terms and conditions.
