Fix a Leak for Pools 32oz bottle

The Fix-a-leak for pools 32 oz bottle is ideal for inground pools that may have developed a leak due to roots putting pressure on the underground plumbing or glue joints that may have developed a leak over the years in the pressure of suction lines.

Dosage:

Use 1 quart per pool up to 22,000 gallons. Do not use in excess of 1 quart per 5,000 gallons of water.

Steps:* Shake Well Before Using*

• Bypass FILTER MEDIA before adding FIX-A-LEAK to water.
• Sand filters: set filter valve to recirculate.
• Other types: remove cartridges DE elements from filter tank. Then proceed to circulate through empty tank.
• With pump running, add FIX-A-LEAK slowly through skimmer or in front of any other suction intake.
• After adding FIX-A-LEAK adjust suction to main drain. If this is not possible, the vacuum cleaner could be used alternatively, simply by placing the vacuum in deepest part of pool and connect to normal vacuum connection. Set filter valve to normal vacuum position.
• FIX-A-LEAK is very heavy and will sink to the lowest point rather quickly. It must be stirred back into suspension, either manually using a pool broom or mechanically with a automated pool cleaner every 4-6 hrs. during circulation of water.
• Continue to recirculate water until the leak has stopped.
• Mark level of water in pool and check for 2-3 days to determine if the leak has stopped.
• After the leak has stopped and given the proper time to cure (24-48 hrs.) you may return to normal filtration.
• Sand Filters: Set filter valve to filter and resume normal operation. Backwash out unused FIX-A-LEAK as required.
• Other Types: Reinstall filter into tank and resume operation. Rinse out unused FIX-A-LEAK from filter as required.
• Treatment can be repeated if necessary.

*NOTE* Never let cartridges of DE elements be left to dry before they are cleaned.

*NOTE* Suction Line Leaks

Suction Leaks are usually known by air mixed with the water at the return fittings.
In most cases suction lines only leak water when the filter pump is shut off.
Normal Circulation will simply draw FIX-A-LEAK away from the leak and if the pump is shut off the material will simply not get to the leak. You must reverse the flow of water, to force the material through the leak under pressure. Preferably 5-10 psi. untill the leak has stopped. When this has been achieved, gradually increase pressure to 15-25 psi. to insure a proper seal.

VERY IMPORTANT: After sealing a suction leak "it" is a must to leave suction off the repaired line for no less than 48 hrs. FIX-A-LEAK requires time to cure and harden.

Miscellaneous Leaks:
If you suspect a leak around fittings inside the pool (such as return fittings) lights, skimmer(s) or steps, etc.
Shut down pump.
Apply FIX-A-LEAK directly to the leak using a squeeze bottle, similar to a ketchup bottle.
Allow a minimum of 48 hrs. to cure before starting up circulation.
*** Will not fix leaks from punctures, cuts or brittle age cracks in vinyl pool liners, do not use in cedar spas.

When and how will my order ship?

Orders placed before 10am EST Monday to Friday, excluding holidays, typically ship the same day for items in stock at our London, Ontario shipping facility. Some orders may leave the warehouse within 2-3 business days if items need to be transferred from the Central warehouse to the shipping warehouse. If item(s) on your order are backordered or sold out before your order can be filled, a follow-up email will be sent to you. Any orders with Special Order items will ship when the Special Order items arrive at the shipping depot.

Once your order has shipped the tracking information will be included in your Shipping Confirmation email. Please note that it can take up to 48 hours for the shipping company to update online tracking information. We ship using multiple delivery partners including Canada Post Expedited Parcel, UPS, and Purolator. Orders with a PO Box or Rural Route address ship via Canada Post only. Items may be shipped from multiple locations and arrive in separate packages and on different days.

Free Ground Shipping

Free shipping is available on orders of $69 before tax to most locations in Canada, excluding Nunavut, Yukon, Northwest Territories, remote/beyond zones. Pool & Hot Tub Depot will select the most cost-effective carrier for orders eligible for free shipping to your area, typically Canada Post Expedited ground shipping. Alternative shipping options are available at checkout for an additional fee.

$9.00 Flat Rate Standard Ground Shipping

$9.00 Flat rate standard ground shipping is available on orders under $69 before tax to most locations in Canada, excluding Nunavut, Yukon, Northwest Territories, remote/beyond zones. Pool & Hot Tub Depot will choose the most economical carrier for orders under $69 before tax that have paid the $9 flat-rate shipping fee, usually Canada Post Expedited Ground. Other shipping options can be selected at checkout for an extra cost.

UPS Standard Shipping

UPS Standard is a cost-effective, reliable ground shipping option, available for an additional fee at checkout to select areas in Canada that UPS serves. Please note that the transit time for the package is tracked by UPS starting from the day the order is picked up at the warehouse in London, Ontario, not from the day the order is placed online or by phone. UPS delivery business days are Monday to Friday 9am up to 8pm. All Canadian holidays are excluded and do not count as a business day.

UPS Express Shipping

UPS next business day* delivery is available for an additional fee at checkout to select areas in Canada that UPS serves. Please note that the transit time for the package is tracked by UPS starting from the day the order is picked up at the warehouse in London, Ontario, not from the day the order is placed online or by phone. *UPS delivery business days are Monday to Friday 9am up to 8pm. All Canadian holidays are excluded and do not count as a business day.

In-Store Pickup

In-store pickup is available at the London, Ontario location only. You will be notified via email when your order is available for pick-up. Please wait for the email as your order may not be available for pick up earlier. Orders that have not been picked up within 30 days of the order date may be cancelled and refunded to the original method of payment.

Remote and Airstage Locations

As determined by Canada Post and or UPS, areas considered remote, that receive infrequent mail service or where mail must be airlifted are ineligible for free shipping or $9.00 flat rate shipping. Remote areas are listed in Table 9 and the Air Stage Locations list is available here. Shipping costs to any of these areas is calculated by weight and size of the order, please add the desired items to the cart and enter your postal code in the shipping calculator of the shopping cart.

Shipping Outside Canada

Poolandhottubdepot.com only ships within Canada. Unfortunately we are not able to export our products to any other countries.

Cancellations

Should the need arise to cancel an order after it’s been placed, we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please get in touch with our Customer Care team as soon as possible, ways to contact us can be found here. Once your order moves into the awaiting shipment stage in our warehouse, we may no longer be able to cancel it. Should this be the case, we can help facilitate a return upon delivery (excluding final sale items).

At Pool & Hot Tub Depot, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Returns for eligible products that have not been, used, installed, connected or tried for troubleshooting are accepted within 30 days of delivery.

Items Not Eligible for Return.

For safety, hygiene, electrical, and custom-processing reasons, "change-of-mind" returns are not accepted for products in the following categories:

• Inflatables & Toys
• Electronic / Electrical Components: Fuses, relays, GFCI breakers, sensors, heaters, capacitors, transformers/power supply units, circuit boards, spa control packs, ozone/UV systems, keypads, thermostats, sauna heaters (all models), pressure switches, etc.
• Pool Heating & Automation Parts: All electronic parts for pool heaters, variable-speed (VS) pool pumps, and automation controls.
• Lighting: LED lights, LED light controllers, and light bulbs.
• Major Equipment: All pool heaters and heat pumps.
• Consumable Goods: Chemicals, liquids, tablets, or granules used to balance and maintain pool or hot tub water, spa fragrances, etc.
• Adhesives & Chemicals: All glue, sealants, and silicone.
• Clearance Items: Items marked as Clearance, Final Sale, or Overstocked.
• Custom Items: Custom-cut items (including all types of cut-to-order hoses) and special or custom-order parts (e.g., custom hot tub covers, 3” plumbing).
• Altered / Used Goods: Items that have been removed from original packaging, assembled, installed, connected, tried for troubleshooting, or modified.
• Bundles & Replacements: Individual parts removed from a kit, bundle, or factory-assembled product, or any item received as a warranty replacement.
• Product Page Notices: Any item marked as Final Sale on its product page.

Defective Items & Manufacturer Warranty Claims.

As an authorized dealer for many product lines we sell, Pool & Hot Tub Depot may process select warranty claims directly on behalf of the manufacturers.

• Dealer-Handled Warranties: For most brands, we process warranty claims directly on behalf of the manufacturer. If your item exhibits a manufacturing defect after installation or during normal use, please Contact Us with your order number, product serial number, and a description (plus photo/video) of the issue. Our team will handle the evaluation, repair or replacement process for you.
• Direct Manufacturer Warranties: Select manufacturers require warranty claims and technical troubleshooting to be processed directly through their own consumer support teams. For these specific brands, we will provide you with the manufacturer’s direct warranty contact details and instructions to ensure your claim is processed as quickly as possible.
• Warranty Exclusions: Manufacturer warranties cover factory defects only. They do not cover damage resulting from improper installation, incorrect wiring, chemical corrosion, water intrusion, improper voltage/power supply, or user error.

How to Request a Return Authorization (RMA)

If you would like to return an eligible, unopened item within 30 days of delivery, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) is required:

1. Contact Us: Email or message our Customer Care team with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
2. Receive Authorization: One of our Customer Care members will review your request and send you an RMA number and return instructions.
3. Ship Your Item Back: Carefully package and ship the item back to the designated warehouse fully insured for the purchase value indicated on your RMA document.

⚠️ Unauthorized Returns Notice:

Items shipped back without contacting us for an RMA will be refused at our warehouse and returned to you, as they cannot be tracked in our system. Shipments sent to order fulfillment centers in B.C. or Alberta will also be refused, as those facilities cannot accept or process returns. Always contact us prior to sending any items back.

Restocking Fees

Most eligible change-of-mind returns do not incur restocking fees, with the following exceptions:

• Pool Cleaners: Eligible returns (unopened, factory-sealed in original condition) are subject to a 10% restocking fee.
• Filters: Eligible pool sand and cartridge-style filters are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
• Refused / Undeliverable Shipments: Shipments returned due to delivery refusal or "return to sender" are subject to a 25% (minimum $25.00) restocking and handling fee.

Undeliverable Addresses: Shipments returned to us due to an incorrect address or failure to pick up from a carrier location will be automatically canceled and refunded, minus original and return shipping charges and a 25% restocking charge.

Shipping & Return Charges

• Who Pays Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for shipping costs when returning an eligible item refund. However, Pool & Hot Tub Depot will pay for return shipping costs if the return is due to our shipping error (e.g., incorrect item sent).
• Shipping Insurance: Any return shipped back with an RMA should be insured for its full replacement value. Returns received with shipping damage cannot be accepted; you will need to file a damage claim directly with your carrier to recover the cost.
• Non-Refundable Costs: Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Refunds & Processing

• Timeline: Refunds are typically processed within 7 to 14 business days after your package is received and inspected at our warehouse (though often sooner).
• Payment Method: Refunds will only be issued back to the original payment method used for purchase. If you no longer have access to the original payment method, you will need to contact your financial institution to claim the funds once the refund is issued.
• Financing & BNPL Services: Refunds for orders placed using split-payment or financing services (e.g., Afterpay, Sezzle, PayBright, Shop Pay) will have an additional 6% payment processing fee deducted from the refund amount to cover non-refundable service fees charged by those providers.

Legal & Discretion Notice

All returns, refunds, and restocking fees are managed at the discretion of Pool & Hot Tub Depot on a case-by-case basis. Nothing in this policy limits, excludes, or restricts any statutory rights or legal warranties provided to consumers under applicable provincial consumer protection laws, including Quebec's Consumer Protection Act.
